Hello everyone, I'm Katsuyo Tanaka, the hospitality and tea ceremony training advisor at Adnurse Inc.

I have some wonderful news to share with all of you! Adnurse Inc. and Hankei 5m, whom we support, have been selected to exhibit at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai!

Event Details

Date: Sunday, August 24, 2025, 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Location: Within the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai Festival Station venue

The event will be presented in three parts:

  • "#Suwari-Coordi®" & Kimono Presentation Chiaki Kato, leader of the Hankei 5m Japanese Culture Hospitality Team, will take the stage. She will reflect on her activities as a wheelchair user and share her aspirations for the future. Beyond simply remodeling ready-to-wear clothes for wheelchair users, she will introduce the appeal of "#Suwari-Coordi®" (Seated Coordination), a fashion style that pursues beauty and enjoyment in seated postures, just as in standing postures. This will be presented in Japanese, English, and sign language. We will also propose new ways to enjoy fashion and kimono culture, such as "Nakano Taka" kimonos that can be worn while seated in a wheelchair, and a "7-way coat" that offers seven different styles with its top and bottom separates.

  • Original Stage Reading Members of Community High Heel Flamingo, Japan's first NPO corporation dedicated to empowering female prosthetic leg users to live authentically and share information, will perform a stage reading. The play depicts the protagonist, Noriko, a woman who connects with other prosthetic leg users and discovers a way of life where she can embrace her true self. This performance conveys a message for all people, regardless of disability, to live authentically.

  • Music Live Performance A supporting concert titled "To a Place in the Sun" will be performed by jazz musicians from the NPO Association to Protect Life and Living Environment.

We sincerely look forward to your attendance, hoping this day will bring courage and hope to all those who refuse to give up on "where they want to go."
